WVYB SAFETY PLAN

Hand Sanitizer: is available at all times, and every musician will be asked to use it as they enter and exit the room.

Air handling system: The community centre is a modern building with excellent air handling and filtration.  Air filters in the WVYB Music Hall have all been changed this week. 

 

Shared instruments: Shared instruments: double basses and percussion equipment.  Musicians playing these instruments must use hand sanitizer on entry.

Elevator use: This is restricted and is only for those unable to use stairs. Double bass and tuba players for whom the stairs can be awkward and dangerous are welcome to use the elevator. 

 

Bathrooms: As most rehearsals are under an hour in length, we ask that you use the washroom at home before coming to rehearsal, if possible, to help limit the use of the washroom adjacent to the Music Hall. 

 

Entry and Exit: Arrive 5-10 minutes before rehearsal and enter through the main Community Centre doors or the northeast outside doors of the atrium. Exit members can exit through the Community Centre or the emergency stairwell. (The stairwell exit door leads to the upper parkade off Gordon Avenue. )
